The Challenge of Creating Your Own Team

In 2023, Alejandro and Adrián Schimpf decided to take a step further in their careers and founded AST Competition. After years in karting and not finding a team that shared their vision in touring cars, they decided to take the reins and create their own structure. Despite the challenges of managing everything from the team to the competitions, their determination and passion for motorsport led them to build a team made to their measure, with a clear focus on excellence.

2023, A Year of Achievements

In its first year, AST Competition achieved impressive results. With several podiums in the European Championship and victories in the Clio Cup Spain, the team demonstrated its ability to compete at an international level. Additionally, both Alejandro and Adrián stood out in the European and Spanish Championships, attaining prominent positions among more than 60 drivers, thus consolidating the effectiveness of the structure and its competitive potential.

Growth and New Challenges

As the team grows, its vision also expands. In 2024, the team stopped competing as drivers to fully dedicate itself to the management and consolidation of AST Competition. With the addition of five drivers in 2025 and the goal of winning the European championship, the team continues to move forward with determination. In 2026, its objective is to jump to the TCR category, taking its achievements to the next level and facing new challenges with the same philosophy of work and effort.
